SAP Technical Operations Consultant
Minimum Years of Experience:

  • Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience   
  • ITIL process knowledge and work experience (required)
  • ITIL certification (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years IT working experience in an Operations environment (Required)
  • Support during the upcoming test phases as well as the upcoming Go Live
  • Support with Go Live preparation and during Go Live  
Role Tasks:

  • IT experience delivering operations support services
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Provide general assistance to the Operations team and end users
  • Perform daily operations tasks and end user support  
  • Adhere to the PIC processes (Problem, Incident &
  • Change Management  o Action and resolve CIM (Critical Incident Management) tickets as required o Raise and lead tasks PM (Problem
  • Management) tickets as identified o Action and coordinate CM (Change Management) tasks and tickets as required  
  • Creation of pertinent test documentation
  • Enable end user knowledge transfer and training  
  • Work closely with other functional consultants, developers, product owners and various global stakeholders in a bigger feature team
  • Assist user departments in drafting system requirement documentation based on business processes
  • Perform daily system handover and start-up tasks to ensure operational readiness of systems  
  Technical / Functional Skills:
  • Unix/Linux – Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and related experience on Unix/Linux OS systems i.e Shell scripting.  
  • Coding - Read and understand source code, perform minor changes (preferably Python and Pearl).  
  • SQL - run DML, DDL and DCL queries. Execute performance analysis for queries and stored procedures.  
  • Experience with Webapp Servers (Java) Advantageous.
